Green Roof Expertise

The Green Roof Consultancy (GRC), is an initiative of the Ecology Consultancy Limited. It draws on recognised extensive professional experience in delivering green roofs acquired over the last two decades. The team develops green roof systems to meet complex sustainability and ecological considerations. Members of the team coined the term 'brown' roof and we have worked closely with many internationally recognized green roof colleagues on developing biodiverse (brown) and green roofs to meet specific ecological objectives that are compatible with other green roof functions of water sensitivity and good thermal performance.

Green Roof Specialists

Green roof technology is also widespread and well-established in mainland Europe with growing interest in the UK. Green roofs are set to become a popular technology within the UK refurbishment and development industries. However currently there is limited knowledge and understanding of this technology beyond the main suppliers. The Green Roof Consultancy was the first specialist consultancy to provide this in the UK.
